On the smallest of warm planets, a single light was still on. The first flake fell. So did he. The two of them landed at the same time, and that was Christmas.
Meet the visitor
Chris Maus, mouse of stars.
He is small and brave and slightly bewildered. He wears the red hat the people gave him on the night he arrived; he kept it because it kept him warm, and because it suited him.
Whether he speaks or not depends on how you ask. He likes good questions, bad weather, and the small, true magic of someone you've never met being glad to see you.
